macular degeneration (AMD) is a retinal degenerative disease
that causes a progressive loss of central vision.
Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is a group of genetic eye conditions. In the
progression of symptoms for RP, night blindness generally
precedes tunnel vision by years or even decades.
Stargardt disease is the most common form of inherited juvenile
macular degeneration. The progressive vision loss associated
with Stargardt disease is caused by the death of photoreceptor
cells in the central portion of the retina called the
Usher syndrome is an inherited condition characterized by
hearing impairment and progressive vision loss.
