To all of our friends of the Bay Area Chapter:

Welcome to our web page, and thank you for your interest in our chapter. For more than a decade, the Foundation Fighting Blindness’ (FFB) primary goal has been to fund research to create disruptive technologies that will save and restore vision lost to inherited retinal diseases. This effort is supported by the fundraising events of FFB chapters throughout the U.S. Our chapters also have a role in increasing public awareness in our communities, particularly for the people, the families, and their friends affected by any of the many retinal diseases.

ElanIn most respects, Elan Zankman is a typical nine-year-old kid. He’s a fierce competitor in soccer and basketball, and enjoys a long volley on the tennis court with his father, Eric. He is also a math whiz and a fan of board games. “He’s been practicing basketball very doggedly lately,” says his mother, Pam. “Elan is an intense kid. He likes to win.”
