Dawn E. Turco

Hadley School for the Blind

Dawn Turco is the Senior Vice President of Educational Operations with the Hadley School for the Blind. Dawn worked as the educational consultant with the American Foundation for the Blind's in Chicago and principal of the Missouri School for the Blind. She also held various teaching and managerial positions at the Massachusetts Association for the Blind, Boston College, and others.

Dawn is a member of several professional organizations, including the Association for the Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AER). She long served on the Discovery Low Vision Conference Board and has served on the Planning Committee of the Families Connecting with Families Conference since its inception 10 years ago.

Dawn holds a Bachelors of Science degree in special education/education from Syracuse University and a Masters degree in special education from Columbia University's Teachers' College. Ms. Turco received her C.A.E.S. in educational administration and supervision from Boston College.
