Presenter Biography

Douglas Walker

Hadley School for the Blind

Douglas Walker is currently an instructor specializing in assistive technology at the Hadley School for the Blind in Winnetka, Illinois. He also teaches assistive technology coursework as an adjunct professor in the vision programs at Vanderbilt University and Trevecca Nazarene University. Mr. Walker holds a B.S. in education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, an M.D. in vision from Vanderbilt University and a certificate in assistive technology from California State University, Northridge. Having worked in the field of blindness and visual impairment for the past 20 years, he resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
