Our featured speakers will be:

Ben Shaberman, Director of Science Communications, Foundation Fighting Blindness

Mr. Shaberman will present the latest information on the Foundation’s research portfolio, particularly focusing on current and upcoming clinical trials.

OrCam Technologies

OrCam is a unique wearable assistive technology device which assists the visually impaired in reading text, recognizing packaged goods, and even recognizing faces, by translating text and images into audio, and whispering the information in the wearer’s ear.

A Chapter Leadership Group meeting will follow the presentation and is open to all.

VisionWalk Update:


2015 Westchester-Fairfield VisionWalk Recap

The 8th Annual Westchester-Fairfield VisionWalk took place on Sunday, September 20th and was a huge success! We had amazing weather, smiling faces, and 200 people in attendance at Glen Island Park in New Rochelle, NY. We raised over $111,000 for retinal disease research through this event.

A special thank you to our Walk Chair Jen Odoardi; our Medical Chair Dr. Sherry Solomon; our Youth Chairs Ryan Basso and Spencer Kaplan; and our Chapter President Anne Katcher  as well as everyone who participated on the committee. Your leadership and dedication to the VisionWalk was the driving force behind our success.
