Richmond Chapter Welcome Letter
Dear FFB Richmond Chapter Friends:
Welcome to the Richmond Chapter of the Foundation Fighting Blindness! Our goal is to make our general chapter meetings beneficial in terms of education and support for people with retinal degenerative diseases. We also strive to provide a sense of community and hope.
The Richmond Chapter is one of many across the country that works very hard to help people keep current on the latest retinal disease research and developments. We also learn about support services and other opportunities that are available in the area. Chapter members have heard from retinal specialists, low vision specialists, and mobility instructors. We’ve learned about many local resources in the Richmond area.
It is our hope that as we grow our chapter, the spirit of the Foundation Fighting Blindness Co-founder and Chairman of the Board, Gordon Gund is ever present. His vision is our vision: We will save and restore sight by funding vital research.
Together, we work to help support Foundation Fighting Blindness funded research through participation in the Richmond VisionWalk and other great events! As chief ambassadors, we want to make sure that as many people as possible in our community know about our chapter, about the Foundation Fighting Blindness, and about the hope that we all have for a future with sight.
Please become a part of the FFB-Richmond Chapter!
I hope this letter encourages you to participate in the many events planned for this year. Your thoughts on program content, meeting time of day, length of meeting, networking opportunities and anything else that may be important to you are important to the chapter leadership. Please let us hear from you and know that your participation will be warmly welcomed!
