Message from the President
Our chapter is one of many across the country that works very hard to help people affected by retinal degenerative diseases stay current on the latest research and developments for retinal degenerative diseases. As a chapter, we provide a sense of community, hope and action toward finding treatments, preventions and cures!
Thank you for an amazing Northern Virginia VisionWalk!
Our Northern Virginia VisionWalk took place Sunday, May 7th and was a great success! We had sunny skies, smiling faces, and over 250 people in attendance at Cameron Run Regional Park.
Together we have raised almost $110,000 for retinal disease research and donations are STILL coming in! Every dollar collected through June 30th will count toward our 2017 goal of $130,000.
Any checks received can be sent to:

A Commitment to Everyone’s Vision
For Sue Downes and the team of eye care professionals at My Eye Dr., supporting the Foundation’s VisionWalk program in Northern Virginia was a completely natural thing to do. The full-service eye care company prides itself in not only delivering high quality products and services, but also serving as many people in the Metropolitan Washington, D.C., community as possible. Raising money for the Foundation Fighting Blindness was a great way to support people with retinal degenerative diseases who are counting on innovative research to save their vision.
