Message from the President
Our chapter is one of many across the country that works very hard to help people affected by retinal degenerative diseases stay current on the latest research and developments for retinal degenerative diseases. As a chapter, we provide a sense of community, hope and action toward finding treatments, preventions and cures!
Our Northern Virginia VisionWalk took place Sunday, May 7th and was a great success! We had sunny skies, smiling faces, and over 250 people in attendance at Cameron Run Regional Park.
Together we raised over $121,000 for retinal disease research! Check out the full album on our Facebook page HERE.
Save the date for the 13th Annual Northern Virginia 5K VisionWalk on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Cameron Run Regional Park. Register or donate by visiting the Northern Virginia VisionWalk page. We hope you can join us in making this year our most successful one yet!

A Commitment to Everyone’s Vision
For Sue Downes and the team of eye care professionals at My Eye Dr., supporting the Foundation’s VisionWalk program in Northern Virginia was a completely natural thing to do. The full-service eye care company prides itself in not only delivering high quality products and services, but also serving as many people in the Metropolitan Washington, D.C., community as possible. Raising money for the Foundation Fighting Blindness was a great way to support people with retinal degenerative diseases who are counting on innovative research to save their vision.
