Top 10 Things You Can Do to Keep Your Eyes Healthy
The Jacksonville Chapter hosts monthly meetings for those affected by retinal degenerative diseases. These meetings are typically held on the third Saturday. Meetings generally include a speaker on topics related to resources available, services in the area, local activities and various other concerns of visually impaired individuals.
For convenience, the Chapter leadership often hosts conference calls for leadership and business meetings. When a staff member is present at a general meeting, sometimes the Chapter will hold a leadership meeting on the same date. All are welcome to be a part of the planning for future meetings and events. The Chapter welcomes input and any information you wish to share, such as places, times, or dates to hold a meeting, topics of interest, or questions and concerns.
Chapter meetings are an excellent way to connect with others who are personally affected or have a family member or friend challenged with vision loss. Meetings in a supportive environment can foster friendships and provide a release for daily tensions. Please do not hesitate to contact Lisa Pleasants, president of the Chapter by email at Jacksonville@FightBlindness.org.
