Dear Friends of the FFB Denver Chapter:

My name is Carmen Swick and I am fortunate and excited to be your Chapter President. We have had an excellent past few years of growth in fundraising and awareness and it is my goal to ensure we continue this momentum. In the upcoming year one of my primary goals is to add help seed the energy of the Chapter by increasing involvement with our youth. VisionWalk Update

We did it again! For the third consecutive year, we exceeded our goal!

Many members of the Interact Club from Cherry Creek High School volunteered at the Walk this year! They are such a great group of young people with promising futures! Richard Faubion (and Miss Parka) visited them to personally thank them again and to award them a Flying Pig trophy in honor of their contribution to the success of the walk!

Chapter Presentations and Events

You’ll be able to ASK THE EXPERT on Saturday, February 10, 2018
Dr. Steve Rose, FFB’s Chief Research Officer, will be in town. Research advances, genetic testing, disease updates….Got questions? Bring them and have the expert answer them! In addition, a Patient Ambassador will give us a personal perspective on disease progression and maintaining eye health.

Ensight Skills Center will also be onsite to host a low vision clinic. A low vision doctor and occupational therapist will provide free comprehensive exams and demonstrate low vision tools such as magnification and other assistive technology. Space will be limited and appointments will need to be made in advance by January 31st, 2018. Call Ensight Skills Center for an appointment: 970-407-9999.
