I am honored to serve as President to the Charlotte Chapter of the Foundation Fighting Blindness. Having grown up in a home with vision loss and experiencing vision issues personally, I understand the importance of foundation’s mission.
Chapter Presentations and Events
Join us on April 29, 2017 for the next Charlotte Chapter Speaker Series Event. This will be a great opportunity to meet other members of our chapter, engage with individuals and families who are also living with retinal degenerative diseases and discuss topics that are of interest to the visually impaired community.
This event will cover two topics. The first will be a presentation by Singer/Songwriter, Tyler Millard. Tyler wrote the FFB anthem "Alive" and will be on-hand to share his story about living with RP. He will also perform Alive. You will not want to miss it!
"There's An App For That" is the theme of the remainder of our meeting. Please come prepared to discuss your favorite, most beneficial applications. We will be discussing, sharing and compiling a list of apps that benefit us as visually impaired users.
We are thrilled to host this event at Frontier Capital's beautiful Uptown Charlotte location. It is a view you will not soon forget! A special thank you to Frontier for their generosity and hospitality.
Breakfast will be served. Please join us for this free, engaging and informative event. I look forward to seeing you on April 29. Reserve your seat today!

Meet Reba Stewart…
Reba joined the FFB family through her employer, LANE Construction. Since her first VisionWalk just a couple of years ago, Reba has worked to not only build Team LANE’s fundraising, but also their number of walkers. She has taken on a can-do attitude and looks for any opportunity to share the VisionWalk story! Through LANE, Reba was able to host a picnic and carwash to raise funds and awareness for the 2016 VisionWalk. Because of the support LANE and Reba have provided to other organizations in the community, Reba was able to rally support from many in the community to make their 2016 VisionWalk team a great success. For her outstanding attitude and excitement about our goal to cure blindness, we have asked Reba to serve as your 2017 VisionWalk Chair. Please join the entire FFB Charlotte Chapter in welcoming Reba to our Chapter and wish her luck as VisionWalk Chair!
