Thank you for taking the time and interest to locate our site. The FFB Baltimore leaders and supporters invite you to join our local group to meet, engage, share, learn, educate, promote, and raise funds for research.

The Baltimore chapter hosts two speaker seminars; one in the Fall and one in the Spring, open to the public and providing information on research and clinical trials, new technology, tools, and services for the visually impaired and blind, meet organizations and learning skills for day to day living.

Speaker Series: There’s an App for That!

Adam Atwell and Daniel Gilbert, Account Engineers with KITE Technology Group will share the latest developments in software and hardware (smart phones, tablets, etc.) designed to assist the visually impaired with improved everyday functionality. We encourage you to bring any personal devices, as this will be a hands-on demonstration.

We will be previewing our 11th Annual Baltimore VisionWalk, taking place in June 2018. Come ready with ideas on how to make this year our best VisionWalk yet!

VisionWalk Update

Thank you for an amazing Baltimore VisionWalk!

Our Baltimore VisionWalk took place Saturday, June 10th and was a great success! We had sunny skies, smiling faces, and over 175 people in attendance at Latrobe Park.

CONGRATULATIONS! Together we have exceeded our 2017 goal with over $128,000 raised AND our milestone goal of $1 million raised in 10 years! What an impressive accomplishment! Thank you to all that made this year so successful. Last minute donations for the Baltimore VisionWalk will be taken through Friday, June 30th.

Get online and type in AMAZONSMILE.COM to shop and raise funds for FFB! Amazon has a program that enables you to shop and donate 0.5% percent of your purchase to your favorite organization. All you need to do is go to and set up your account with the organization you would like to support. Then you can donate your shopping to the FFB, on the screen where it says other organizations, type in Foundation Fighting Blindness and hit the SEARCH button. Then a list of organizations will pop up, make sure it is the one that on the right hand side of the screen reads, Columbia, Maryland, founded 1971. Then go to the right hit the button, and you are now registered to shop and donate to FFB!
