Thank you for taking the time and interest to locate our site. The FFB Baltimore leaders and supporters invite you to join our local group to meet, engage, share, learn, educate, promote, and raise funds for research.

The Baltimore chapter hosts two speaker seminars; one in the Fall and one in the Spring, open to the public and providing information on research and clinical trials, new technology, tools, and services for the visually impaired and blind, meet organizations and learning skills for day to day living.

VisionWalk Update


Save the date for the 10th Annual Baltimore 5K VisionWalk on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Latrobe Park. Please join us in making this year our most successful one yet! Let's celebrate 10 years of VisionWalk in Baltimore!

Registration Begins: 9:00 a.m.
Walk begins: 10:00 a.m.

5/20: TECHY Conference
Please join us on Saturday, May 20th, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. for the 2nd Annual Maryland TECHY Conference at the Maryland School for the Blind (3501 Taylor Avenue, Nottingham). Get ready to enhance your digital knowledge and hear from a great panel of guest speakers on a number of topics including mobile devices and how to use them more easily! Admission Fee is $5/person (free for children under 12). Breakfast & Lunch will be provided. For more information and to RSVP, contact Connor Archibald at (410) 423-0618.
6/10: 10th Annual Baltimore VisionWalk
Come out and join the fight against blindness at our 10th Annual VisionWalk at Latrobe Park and Fort McHenry (1627 E Fort Avenue, Baltimore) on Saturday, June 10th at 9:00 a.m.. This fundraiser 5k will take you all around the park and through Fort McHenry as you walk to raise awareness for retinal degenerative disease research. This event has no entry fee - simply bring an open heart, your walking shoes and your friends and your family too! Amazon Smile

Get online and type in AMAZONSMILE.COM to shop and raise funds for FFB! Amazon has a program that enables you to shop and donate 0.5% percent of your purchase to your favorite organization. All you need to do is go to AmazonSmile.com and set up your account with the organization you would like to support. Then you can donate your shopping to the FFB, on the screen where it says other organizations, type in Foundation Fighting Blindness and hit the SEARCH button. Then a list of organizations will pop up, make sure it is the one that on the right hand side of the screen reads, Columbia, Maryland, founded 1971. Then go to the right hit the button, and you are now registered to shop and donate to FFB!
