VisionNation: An Easy & Effective Way to Raise Funds for Blindness Research VisionNation brings friends and family together to help end blindness and restore sight. This exciting new program lets supporters use the power of the Internet to reach out to their community to raise funds to find treatments and cures for retinal diseases. The VisionNation website allows our members to create a personal VisionNation webpage, set a fundraising goal, and tell their family and friends about what they are trying to accomplish. The Foundation even provides a helpful toolkit that provides sample text and helpful tips to help VisionNation Leaders reach their fundraising goal. The tools are extremely user-friendly and require no technical knowledge or special fundraising experience. VisionNation is a great way to raise funds for sight-saving research without having to run a race, hold a dinner, or attend a gala. Using their personal page, members can simply tell their entire community – family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, etc. – why this cause is so important and invite them to help at any level they can. Some people choose to honor or remember someone with their VisionNation campaign. Others ask for donations in lieu of birthday, wedding or holiday gifts. “I have heard from so many supporters asking for an easy tool like this to use and I think they will really appreciate what an effort like this can accomplish,” says William T. Schmidt, chief executive officer, Foundation Fighting Blindness. Visit the VisionNation website today to get your campaign started! |
