New Hope for Gene Therapy...A Young Boy's Fight Against Blindness

The following video premiered at the 2010 BIO International Convention during the keynote address of BIO Chairman Dr. Stephen Sherwin. The video features young Corey Haas, a 9-year old boy with Leber congenital amaurosis whose sight has been restored by gene therapy, along our own Chief Research Officer Dr. Steve Rose and FFB-funded researcher Dr. Jean Bennett. Dr. Sherwin lauded gene therapy as a terrific success in biotechnology and medicine and just one example of how patience, persistence, and passionate support can pay off.
