Owings Mills, MD - January 30, 2010 - The Foundation is pleased to welcome three new national trustees to its leadership team: Sherri Kroonenberg of Littleton, Colorado, Pat Campbell, of St. Petersburg, Florida and Roger Horchow of Dallas, Texas. Sherri is secretary of the Denver Chapter, and she and her husband, Carl, have been active members of the chapter for the last decade, and strong supporters of several events including VisionWalk and Blind Taste of the Rockies. Sherri has co-chaired the highly successful Denver Swing for Sight since its inception in 2000. She is a senior vice president at Charles Schwab. Pat and her late husband, Gordon, have been steadfast supporters and event organizers for the Foundation since 1995. Pat is currently taking an active role in planning the first Tampa Bay Dining in the Dark, which will take place on March 9. The Campbells' daughter, Dr. Melissa Campbell of Phoenix, Arizona, has been a national trustee since 1995. Roger Horchow generously supports the Foundation’s Dallas Dining in the Dark Visionary Awards Dinner. He is an active philanthropist, supporting several organizations around the country and in his community of Dallas, Texas. He is a Tony Award-winning Broadway musical producer and former owner of The Horchow Collection. National trustees play a critical role in fundraising and strategic planning, and the addition of Sherri and Pat to the team will enhance the Foundation’s pursuit of sight-saving cures. |
