To create the best VISIONS experience possible, the Foundation is working hard to expand the community of people attending VISIONS this year. Take a peek at what’s happening on the event’s publicity front, and discover the tools available for members eager to take action in spreading the word: The VISIONS 2012 press release provides an overview of highlights. Excited the conference is happening in their own backyard, Northern Lights Chapter leaders are raising awareness through local media outlets and low vision support organizations. For example, Julie Anderson, chapter president and a past VISIONS speaker, gave listeners a taste of what to expect in a recent radio interview. Radio public service announcements are hitting the airwaves to spread the word. Radio Reading Services from across the nation that cater to visually impaired audiences are airing session recordings from last year’s successful VISIONS 2011.
