Ed McDaniel can often be seen running around Black Mountain. And, yes, he’s carrying a cane, because he’s legally blind. “People that go by in cars, you see their faces and they do a doubletake,” McDaniel’s running partner and co-worker, David Thompson, said. “I mean, he’s running really fast.”
