Debra Laughlin started going blind 14 years ago. "I was driving and couldn't see the signs," Laughlin says. "I figured it was time to get my eyes checked for glasses." Her eye doctor told her she had progressive cone-rod dystrophy, a low-vision retinal disease similar to macular degeneration.
