Katelyn Grun is not your typical eighth grade student. At the age of seven, Katelyn was diagnosed with cone-rod dystrophy, a disease that has slowly robbed her of her vision. Today, she is legally blind. But, Katelyn and her family have not lost hope.
Thanks to the hard work of the Foundation Fighting Blindness, Katelyn stays optimistic that a cure for her disease will soon be found. In an effort to support the Foundation, Katelyn joined several San Antonians on March 10, 2009 to participate in the area’s first-ever VisionWalk, the national fundraising program of the Foundation. Watch this video from KENS5 San Antonio to learn more about Katelyn and the Foundation Fighting Blindness.
