Lending the Foundation’s AMD Expertise to AARP Radio

October 19, 2011 - Raising awareness about age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is an ongoing commitment for the Foundation Fighting Blindness, as the organization continues to invest in studies that seek to prevent and treat this vision-robbing retinal disease. AARP recently invited the Foundation’s Chief Research Officer, Stephen Rose, Ph.D., to appear on its Prime Time Radio show for an in-depth discussion of AMD.

The AARP program airs weekly on more than 160 public radio stations throughout the country, focusing on the interests and concerns of Americans over 40. Listen here to Dr. Rose’s conversation, which addresses AMD prevention, symptoms, diagnosis, coping, current treatments and emerging research.
