Genetic Study of Retinal Degenerative Diseases (and other inherited eye conditions): NEI
|
RECRUITING Description: The National Eye Institute (NEI) is collecting blood and DNA samples from patients with inherited retinal degenerative diseases (and other inherited eye diseases) to be used in research to identify genetic factors responsible for these conditions. The information helps the research community better understand how these conditions cause vision loss. Also, by identifying disease-causing genetic variations, researchers are better able to identify potential treatments.
