2nd Annual Vision for the Future, Visionary Awards Dinner

On Thursday, January 17th more than 550 people came together at Terrace on the Park in Flushing Meadows Park, NY to support the 2nd Annual Vision for the Future Visionary Awards Dinner honoring Dean Janeway, Chief Executive at Key Food Stores Cooperative. Through the Visionary Awards Dinner, $450,000 has been raised for vision-saving research.
The inspiration continued throughout the evening with Dinner Co-Chair Amie Kreisberg speaking about her family’s connection to vision loss and their dedication to finding a cure. Amie’s step-son, Jeremy, the closing speaker for the evening gave a powerful speech about the hope he gains through the work of the Foundation Fighting Blindness and the support of all those in attendance at Vision for the Future. George Knobloch, Vice President at Key Food Stores Cooperative and Dinner Committee member, gave a spirited introduction of Dean Janeway. The presentation and acceptance of the Visionary Award was full of laughter and good humor. Dean thanked all in the supermarket industry who supported A Vision for the Future dinner and invited everyone back next year.
