2012 Houston VisionWalk

Congratulation on a fabulous VisionWalk! We had a beautiful day on Saturday to celebrate the 5th Annual Houston VisionWalk. With over 450 in attendance, we had a great turnout. Thank you so much to everyone who came out and made the day so amazing. Together we have raised over $75,000 for sight saving research and we’re not stopping there! We can continue to collect donations until January 31, 2013, so you can continue to send in those last minute donations, plan fundraising events, etc. and help us continue working towards our $115,000 goal. Many thanks to our Honorary Chairman Congressman Gene Green, our leadership, Carley Colton, Dot Balandis and Dr. Steve Daiger, PhD., our VisionWalk Committee, Team Captains, Walkers and Volunteers. Not to mention to fabulous pictures from Rena O Productions and the great music from Mystic Sounds. We couldn’t have done this without you!It was tough competition this year, but our team spirit winner for the 3rd year in a row was the Blind Scoop Groupies, congratulations to Team Captain Cuqui Soto for keeping the energy going in Houston. Congratulations to the Optic Nerds for bring home the award for best T-Shirt and Lyndell Rashall with Keeping Faith in Sight for being the team to travel the furthest. Thanks again for a great year! |
