2012 Columbus Dining in the Dark
|
The First Annual Dining in the Dark in Columbus, Ohio was an outstanding success! There were well over 100 people that attending this inaugural event at Brazenhead Irish Pub in downtown Dublin, which is a nearby suburb of Columbus Ohio. This event was co-chaired by Mike Ueber and Seth Porter, however, the Green Family brought a large number people to the “more spirited” second seating! The focus of this event was to raise awareness regarding the 10+ million Americans with retinal degenerative diseases like Macular Degeneration and Retinitis Pigmentosa, however, there were indeed funds raised to help further the development of treatments and cures! The Columbus Leadership team has already started making preliminary plans to expand the 2013 Dining in the Dark Event to include more participants and likely a larger venue to accommodate everyone!
