New York City VisionWalk
Congratulations, New York! Great job on a fabulous New York City VisionWalk! On Saturday, April 21st we had sunny skies, enthusiastic walkers, and plenty of VisionWalk spirit! With more than 500 people in attendance at the Central Park Bandshell this was one of our largest New York City VisionWalks yet! The VisionWalk wouldn't have been possible without the leadership of our Walk Co-Chairs Jeanette Hogan and Michelle Veloce and our Board Chair Nancy Mendelow. Thanks also to our Honorary Chairs, VisionWalk Planning Committee, Team Captains, Walkers, Donors, Volunteers, and Vendors. You all played an integral role in making the VisionWalk a success.  This year we held the first New York City VisionWalk Team Spirit Contest. The competition was fierce but with the help of Leah Bartos, Mrs. New York America 2012 we awarded Regeneron the Overall Team Spirit Award. SUNY College of Optometry won Largest Team with 200 Walkers! The Small but Mighty award went to Misty Eyes for those Curly Guys and the Team T-shirt award went to Team Jack Attack for their tye-dye shirts with Jack's smiling face.Congratulations to our Team Spirit Contest winners and thank you to everyone who participated!
