On Saturday, November 5, 2011 Glen and Sharyn Davidson hosted the 2011 Hoe-Down on their Magnolia Farm in Tallahassee, Florida. The fundraiser raised almost $73,000 with 600 guests in attendance for all the festivities.
There was plenty of fun for everyone, from skeet shooting at the range, to a bounce house for the little ones at the barn and a new mechanical bull ride for the more daring buckaroos. Of course, a Hoe-Down must also include greased pole climbs and a greased pig chase along with good old-fashioned hay rides.
Vittles were served with barbeque and all the fixins and a spread of homemade desserts. Fireworks went off at 8 p.m. and music was played by Tom and the Cats.
Special thanks to Glen and Sharyn Davidson for chairing this event and welcoming everyone to their farm. Many of their personal friends supported and volunteered to make the event a huge success.
