Jacksonville VisionWalk
|
What an amazing day! Channel 4 News Anchor Staci Spanos welcomed everyone to the 3rd Annual Jacksonville VisionWalk on Saturday, May 21. Over 500 participants came out to show their support at the University of North Florida which is 100 more than last year! Everyone enjoyed snow cones, cotton candy, bounce houses, a clown and face painter, refreshments and even pizza! Over $82,000 has been raised so far in Jacksonville to help the Foundation Fighting Blindness fund research for retinal degenerative diseases. It was wonderful to see the dedication and support for the VisionWalk.
We also want to thank our Chapter President Suzi Ford and the VisionWalk Committee for working so hard to make the day special. Thank you to all of sponsors, volunteers, Team Captains, and walkers – we couldn’t have done this without you!
