San Francisco Dining in the Dark

The San Francisco Dining in the Dark was held on Tuesday, May 17 at the Palace Hotel. This year’s Visionary Award was presented to the Honorable Willie L. Brown, Jr., the celebrated former Mayor of San Francisco who has retinitis pigmentosa. The evening was a major success, raising over $590,000 to nearly double the leadership goal. The packed room of 370 attendees included well-known community members Brenda Wright from Wells Fargo, Landmark Partners President and CEO Francisco Borges, and former Revlon CEO Victor Barnett.We want to again thank our Dinner Co-Chairs, Charles Warden and Janni Lehrer-Stein, whose well-deserved presidential nomination to the National Council on Disability Board was recently confirmed. Our entire Dinner Committee also deserves recognition for all their hard work and dedication to the Foundation and our mission to cure retinal blindness.
