2nd Annual Northern Virginia Dining in the Dark Achieves Great Success
|
Despite the wintery weather, more than 200 guests attended the second annual Northern Virginia Dining in the Dark Visionary Awards Dinner at the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner on Thursday, December 16.
The dinner honored Wes Bush, Chief Executive Officer of Northrop Grumman, and Dr. Ignacio Rodriguez, Section Chief of the Mechanisms of Retinal Diseases Section at the National Eye Institute, for their generous and long-standing commitment to their communities and the critical work of organizations like the Foundation Fighting Blindness.
Thanks to the tremendous efforts of dinner co-chairs Donna Burke Tehaan, Bill Carty, and Jody Kelly, honorary co-chairs Congressman Jim Moran and Congressman Pete Sessions, and a stellar dinner committee, the dinner raised nearly $300,000 in support of retinal disease research.
Thank you to all who participated in this successful event.
