More than 500 walkers gathered at UCLA for the 2nd Annual Los Angeles VisionWalk on October 26th. It was a beautiful sunny Sunday morning as participants gathered in support of a great cause.
Before the sun rose, volunteers were busy putting the final touches on the Walk site. To help kick start the morning, participants enjoyed refreshments from Noah’s Bagels, Western Bagels, Ralphs, and Starbuck. While most kids (and some adults) had their faces painted and played in the bounce-house.
The band Figure 8 helped build excitement before the Walk. Then Josh Rubenstein, meteorologist for CBS 2 and KCAL 9, got the crowd going as the emcee of the morning’s festivities.
The morning was filled with lots of fun activities for the youngest and oldest walk participants. By the end of the day, we had raised more than $100,000 for research.
