Swing for Sight 2008 Boca Golf Tournament & Card Party

The 7th Annual Swing for Sight Golf Tournament and Card Party was held on Monday, May 5, 2008 at the breathtaking Boca Rio Golf Club. The ambience was just right; golden sunshine and immaculately manicured surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for a day of fun and camaraderie.

At 7:00 a.m. the golfers started pouring in for registration and a delectable breakfast provided by the Boca Rio team. By 8:30 am, the energy packed foursomes were charged up and ready to compete. With over 18 foursomes playing, we had a packed club full of excited and enthusiastic players ready to show off their moves, and of course, show their support of the Foundation.

The card players came in for registration and a heavenly lunch at 11:30 am. They enjoyed the picturesque Boca Rio Club while playing exciting card games such as Social Bridge, Duplicate Bridge, Mah Jongg and Canasta.

The day had lots of surprises and numerous rewards. Raffle items such as tickets to Miami Dolphins football games, A fabulous Chicago weekend getaway for two, wonderful certificates for dinner at Alto and L’Impero in NYC, Ladies’ stainless steel watch from CD Peacock Jewelers in Chicago, an original handmade Carlos Falci Handbag, a Crystal & Freshwater Pearl Necklace, another wonderful necklace of Pearls and Diamonds and the crowd favorite of a gift certificate for Golf lessons from Boca Raton Golf Club among many others. The fabulous raffles crowned what everyone can attest was a fun-filled and exhilarating experience.
