Charlotte, NC - 2nd Annual Charlotte VisionWalk

The 2nd Annual Charlotte VisionWalk was a huge success! Over 125 walkers joined us at Freedom Park on September 27, 2008. Everyone attending VisionWalk was truly doing their part to help raise funds for the Foundation Fighting Blindness.

Walkers enjoyed coffee provided by Caribou Coffee, bagels provided by Bruegger’s Bagels and fruit provided by Harris Teeter. Children enjoyed the bounce house, hand print station and getting their face painted by Corky the Clown. In its second year the event raised an amazing $70,000!!

A special THANK YOU to our Walk Co-Chairs Jennifer and Maureen Torres, Business Co-Chairs Haynes Lea and John Collett and Charlotte Chapter President Pam Allen - your drive and dedication to the VisionWalk was the true driving force behind our success.

Congratulations to Team Captain Derek Wynn and Team Derek and the Dominoes for winning our Team Spirit Contest!
