Professor Fitzke is Professor of Visual Optics & Psychophysics in the Division of Visual Science of University College London (UCL) Institute of Ophthalmology. He holds an honorary appointment at Moorfields Eye Hospital and is Director of the FFB Research Center for the Study of Retinal Degenerative Diseases at the Institute of Ophthalmology and Moorfields Eye Hospital. Professor Fitzke is head of the Laboratory of Physiological Optics and holds an appointment to the National Institute for Health Research Biomedical Research Centre for Ophthalmology. His major research interests are in psychophysical investigations of visual function particularly rod mediated function (night vision) and in novel forms of imaging the living eye particularly confocal laser scanning ophthalmoscopy. |
