Val Sheffield, M.D., Ph.D.
| Val Sheffield, M.D., Ph.D., is a professor of pediatrics and director of the Division of Medical Genetics at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, Iowa City, IA. He received his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Chicago and completed a pediatric residency, a medical genetics fellowship, and postdoctoral work at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Sheffield holds the Martin and Ruth Carver chair in genetics at the University of Iowa and is an investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. |
