Message from the President:

peggy_mitchell

It is hard to believe that the holidays are right around the corner. We had lots of activity this fall and more to come in December. Our second Presentation Series was Saturday, October 20th. The topic was Adaptive Technology for Windows users. Tennessee Access Center (TAC) shared all the adaptive technology ranging from hand-held magnifiers to full-screen readers. It was fascinating. Even though I am a Mac user, I realized how very much is out there for all the different degrees of vision loss. Thank you TAC for coming out and spending your morning with us.

Featured Volunteer:

Susan and Jimmy Freeze served as the 2012 Nashville VisionWalk co-chairs!  Susan established the Laura Gammons Memorial Award for excellence in fundraising and community building in honor of her mother, Laura Gammons.  She was a driving force in starting the Nashville Chapter and a tireless fundraiser.  Many thanks to Susan and Jimmy for being such amazing volunteers and a true inspiration to everyone in the Nashville Chapter!
