Welcome to the Boston Chapter! As we start a new year in 2013, excitement is building for the astounding research advances in the broad spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases, and Boston plans on being right in the thick of things to get the word out and to help accelerate the pace of research through our fundraising events. We have already scheduled several exciting events in the first half of 2013 (see below) that are “can’t miss” opportunities to learn more about the research and how we, the affected community, can help ourselves.

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us, in person and in spirit, at the 5th Annual Boston VisionWalk! We had a beautiful day and an amazing turnout (about 550 people!) at Artesani Park on Saturday, October 27th. With your help, we have raised more than $156,000! Great work!

Chapter Leader, Alan Spiro, Becomes a Trustee
Alan Spiro, who co-chaired the inaugural Boston Dining in the Dark in June 2012, is a partner at the law firm Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP, and was recognized as a “Massachusetts Super Lawyer” by Boston Magazine. He is also affected by retinitis pigmentosa and has supported the Foundation over the last decade.
