Welcome to the Atlanta Chapter of FFB! Our goal as chapter leaders is to make our general chapter meetings beneficial in terms of education and support for people with retinal degenerative diseases. We also work to provide a sense of community and promise you that if you are a first-time attendee at our meetings, you’ll feel very warmly welcomed and want to come back.

VisionWalk Update:

Congratulations!

Nearly 700 participants joined us in our fight for sight on a chilly day at Centennial Olympic Park on Sunday, March 14th. Thank you all so much for your support of the 4th Annual Atlanta VisionWalk. With the donations that came in on Walk day, we have exceeded our goal and have raised over $112,000 and counting! Keep checking our website to watch out thermometer rise!

Atlanta Chapter Support Group Meetings

The Foundation Fighting Blindness Atlanta Chapter’s Support Group meets the first Saturday of every month from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the downstairs classrooms at St. Joseph’s Hospital. The hospital is located just south of I-285 at 5665 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, next to the MARTA station. Contact Jim Vacheenas, Support Group Leader prior to meetings to make sure that the location or time has not been changed for that particular day.

Patti Pruitt, a forever friend of FFB, Atlanta Chapter board member and past co-chair of the Atlanta Blind Wine Tasting, along with her wonderful husband Tony, made it a mission to identify a beauty spa and paramedic aesthetician in every major city throughout the United States to offer discounts on make-up services for their visually impaired clients. Patti, who is affected by RP, has worked diligently on this project and women all over the country are benefitting from her sensitivity and determination.
