Message from the President:
Welcome to the Sacramento Chapter of the Foundation Fighting Blindness! We strive to be a supportive resource for those of us affected by Retinitis Pigmentosa, Usher Syndrome, Macular Degeneration and other degenerative retinal diseases in the greater Sacramento area. We are honored to be a part of the Foundation who, by networking and fundraising efforts, strives to find a cure for degenerative retinal diseases through scientific research and trials.
Please check back often for updates on chapter meetings and social events. You’re not alone. We look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely,
Angel Ortiz Sacramento Chapter President

Featured Volunteer:
My name is Judith Leach and I’m on a personal quest for a cure for retinal degenerative diseases.
I have two grown sons and both have Usher syndrome, which is like retinitis pigmentosa but with hearing loss. For a long time when my oldest son was originally diagnosed with this retinal disease the doctors informed us there was no cure in sight. I have lived for years with just a glimmer of hope that a cure could be found.
