Message from the President:
Welcome to the Sacramento Chapter of the Foundation Fighting Blindness. We’re back in action and looking forward to building our chapter into a supportive resource right here in Sacramento for those of us who are affected by retinitis pigmentosa, Usher syndrome, macular degeneration or other degenerative retinal disease. We’re honored to be a part of the FFB team and to work toward FFB’s main mission of driving the research that will lead to effective treatments and cures for degenerative retinal diseases.
Please check back often for updates on chapter meetings and events, and come join us!

Featured Volunteer:
My name is Judith Leach and I’m on a personal quest for a cure for retinal degenerative diseases.
I have two grown sons and both have Usher syndrome, which is like retinitis pigmentosa but with hearing loss. For a long time when my oldest son was originally diagnosed with this retinal disease the doctors informed us there was no cure in sight. I have lived for years with just a glimmer of hope that a cure could be found.
