• I just found out that my daughter has Stargardt Disease

• I had no idea that my daughter has this disease until I "googled" it on the web. She is only 7 years old and every year since her birth her vision is getting progressively worse. She wear trifocals to help her but I've noticed that they aren't helping as much as they are supposed to. There is no support groups in my location. I live in Olean, New York State. I hope there is someone out there who can help us with the fight.

• I have had Stargardts since I was 8. I go to a normal consler. I do not feel I need to though. It feels almost like it isnt as "big" of a problem after you are diagnosed. I will pray for you:)

• Hey, I'm 24, have had SD since I was 9, so I think I can help. I' in college now, almost done, have worked as well, been through every situation you could possibly think of... Once you figure out what your daughter needs, aid wise, she'll be fine. If she hasn't yet, she needs to get diagnosed by a doctor, then that will help determine what kind of help she will need.
