  • Special thanks to Silvia from Cummer and Amy Johnson from ILAB/FFB Jax Area Chapter Leader for helping to coordinate efforts for this event.

Attendees were able to electronically "paint" photos and other fun in the interactive area.

We visited the garden and shared comments about what we smelled and what we heard.

We visited the gallery and Silvia shared a 3 dimensional painting that was a replica of a painting on the wall. We learned how through touch, you could try to identify what the artist was capturing in the painting.

We visited the studio, where we were encouraged to use modeling clay and form a boat. Those who are sighted had the option of using a blindfold or simulator.

We also had a nice interactive discussion with Silvia, who actually shared a poem she wrote by using the adjectives we shared about the gardens.

The event was yet another successful network meeting that our Jax Area Chapter Leadership Team was able to provide for the community.

We'd love for you to post your comments about this event if you attended.

Thank you for your continued interest in our chapter.

~Suzi Ford and the entire Jax Area Chapter Leadership Team
