  • GETTING CATARACT SURGERY
  • Posted: 2010-03-24 19:18:08 By John A
  • I have RP, I am thinking of getting the ReSTOR implant. I was wondering has anyone has this done, was it worth it. Do you still have to wear glasses.Or should I get the standard surgery.

  • That'll depend if your insurance will pay for it. For me, any implant with an Rx was $1000 more per eye out of pocket expenses. Ins generally will pay for thestandard IOL plus refraction and glasses after surgery. What's more important is that you get the blu-blockers in the OIL.

  • Hey Darran,

So would you say that you have seen results after the surgery? For good or not so good?

  • I would appreciate any input from anyone that has had the neurotec cntf implant. There is a possibility that I could be accepted to participate in an upcoming trial and would like to hear from other people out there that have had this procedure. I.E. any adverse affects, discomfort, problems, vision changes etc...and also would you recommend it to others? and would you do it again?
