• i think im a little confused...when people say the cntf didnt work for them..what do you mean? i thought it was just suppose to halt the progression of the rp not cure it or bring back sight i understand there could be maybe a rescue affect? but just because you are not regaining sight does not mean its not working correct??

• That's because the RP still progressed at the same rate as prior to implantation. Remember, that the cause of RP is not the same for everyone, since there are multiple genes involved. There are different types of drugs that are used in the CNTF and is not a blanket treatment for every type. At least that is what I understood this to be.
