  • Where did evertone go ?????

  • There use to be a regular group of people who posted on this site but not since they ghanged to this new format. Did everyone move to a new site or just give up trying to figure out this (improved ????) one? I didn;t post often but enjoted reading MOST of the old posters thoughts and ideas. Not sure who came up with the new format but I don't consider it very user friendly.

  • Hi Mike.
Like yourself, I miss the other board. The format was much easier. I think it's sad that someone had to go and mess it up for those of us who really appreciated that board.
I think after so many times of having problems with it, all of us regular users have pretty much just given up on it. It's a shame.
I've signed up with MDjunction, but that format is a bit confusing to me as well. I've also signed up in the RP groups on myspace. Not very active, like this board, but it's something I suppose.
Maybe one day we'll all find each other again in one spot.LOL

  • Hi Tom P. So how would I go about checking out this "RPList" you said everyone's going to now? I agree, it seems like this new MB isn't as popular anymore since they've changed it. I noticed Darran never posts on here now either. I miss his informative posts! Oh well, let me know a little more about the RPList so I can see if that's worth joining. Thanks! Vicki T.
  • Still Here!

  • Hi Vicki,

I'm still around. But Marisa is right, I've been a bit busy lately.

I agree, this format doesn't seem too friendly. You don't get any notifications whether someone posts to your message or not.

I'm not sure everyone is on RPList, but several here have gone there. That list can be a bit overloaded and heated by tpoic.

    But nevertheless, I'm still here.

  • Hi everyone,
I didn't know that everyone had gone to the RP list either! I kept checking every day and thought that no one was interested in the FFB website. I am going to try the RPlist as well. It seems easy to navigate. I was asking Marisa to help me out! She posts on a lot of sites and knows her way around. Maybe the FFB will come back as strong as it was, but I think it will take time. Hope all of you are doing well!

  • Julia,
Just put RPlist in your browser and it will take you there. It will answer all your questions and tell you all about the website. I am still reading it and trying to decide what format I am going to use. It is easy to navigate, it seems. Hope this helps!

  • Well, many of us are e-mailing or talking privately or went to other groups. I still "see" Darran because he posts on an usher list (he and I have Usher). He's been quite busy so he hasn't been on a lot though. You can try RPlist, RPfriends or the RP group in Facebook and you'll find some of us. I am also at www.exjake.com although it quiet these days.

As you all say, this message board is quite cumbersome. Whoever designed it is not visually impaired and/or is not interested in making information accessible to us.

Someone was talking about starting some sort of forum...whatever happened?

  • Hello Mike:
You are right on your observation. I used to visit the forum almost everyday and see a lively group of people posting and responding to the message board.
I have to admit they did not do a good job of the website. I complained to the webmaster and pointed out some of the difficulties I encountered. I think everyone should do so likewise.
I told her that the website was no longer blind-friendly.
I think we should collectively tell them where we have problems on the website.
    Thanks,
    mani

  • Mike-
I completely agree with you. I haven't been on this site in a long time, and I was really looking forward to coming back and seeing what's new in the world of RP. I can't even navigate the topics now, and the side bars take up half my window. Whoever redesigned the webpage should quit their job and put it back. I hope the FFB folks read your string and realize they are losing their base beause their site isn't user friendly anymore. Its a real shame. When I was first diagnosed last year, this was the easiest site to find on the web. I hope they will put it back and people will come back to the site. I think someone should start a Facebook group too.
