  I suggest you try the Apple Mac with its Leopard(10.5.x) Operating system. Try its zooming features and more so, its Voice Over capabilities. The Voice Over technology is simply amazing and keeps on improving. You need to only invest in a Mac-mini(400-500 dollars) and you are all set.
  I was a Zoomtext user for quite some time but since I got the Mac, I have not looked elsewhere.
