  • Hey Howard,
RP is progressive in most cases. Do you know how much peripheral vision you have left? I am 25 and I only have about 8 degrees of vision left. It effects different people in many different ways. Some have sever night blindness, some don't. Some have good central vision, some don't. I see 20/30 in both my eyes but like I said I only have 8 degrees left. There is a lot of different ways to look at how far along you are. Most people never go COMPLETLY blind from what I've read.

  • Hi Howard,
There is a ton of information about RP on the internet! This website, alone, has anwered alot of my questions. Just reading the old posts on here is very helpful. Another website which has a great message board is www.ejake.com
You'll find the info as well as support which helps you deal with all the questions and frustration which comes with having RP. And just remember...you aren't alone! There are many of us out here who can definately relate. If you have any questions or just need to vent, we're all here for you! Have a good day!
