- What do you do?
- Posted: 2007-12-11 07:33:45 By james n
- I'm into a point that i don't know the value of life. I also don't understand why we need to live.
You? what is the purpose of life?
What do you do if you feel alone in your life.
No friends, no families to talk to.
Or feeling no interest to talk to people. except this forum.

- You're sounding like Sarte and Nietzsche. They were existentialist philosophers who were Agnostics, who concluded that since there is no god, no rules of order, your existence is solely the time you have here on earth. They argued that there is no moral compass, moral balance, and that life should be spent in pursuit of whims, or ended. You're oft sad rants on the site remind me of their writing quite a bit.
In the end James, if you don't believe in God, and you refuse to try and live a happy life, which is my conclusion for you, then Sarte and Nietzsche might be right.
However, I believe in personal accountability regardless of philosophy or religion. The person to blame for your feelings is you James, not RP, not your ex-fiancee, not your family, You.
Many will say I'm being too hard here, but I'm not. The sooner somebody slaps you in the face for throwing your own life away, the better. You've proven yourself a smart, intelligent thinker through various posts on this site, yet you continue down this defeatist, ridiculous road. Be thankful for what you have and make a difference.
Honestly, moping and feeling sorry for yourself is such a lazy, half-arsed cop-out, it makes me angry. You're taking the easy road by being depressed. Stop being lazy and pick up a hobby, make some friends and "get a life".

- Thanks James. Sorry for getting bent out of shaper earlier. You should play WoW. I play on Mok Nathal and really like it. It's very fun. My character name is drudixon. Of course I play in US realms, but they're hosted in California, so I don't think they'd be too slow in Phillipines. It costs some money, but it's cheaper than going out all the time, very fun to play, and you meet nice people, most of whom I've found are adults, not kids. Even a lot of women play.

- You do have hope now for sight although it will be a few years. It is very frustrating to be in this condition and I'm saying prayers for all of us and will especially for you. Just know there are others like myself who really do care and appreciate what you are going through. Nobody said life is easy and well they are right but there is also value in life you just have to find it. Write me anytime. Liz
