- Hi all, I've was diagnosed with glaucoma 2 1/2 years ago. I've had surgery on the affected eye because the medicated eye drops were not working and I've lost 50% vision due to damaged optic nerve. Now, my eye is acting stange. With or without my glasses my eye seems to have a sensation of wetness plus like something holding back my vision, such as it is. The eye doctor gave me a special test for the MACULA. Said he'd call me if anything bad. Have not heard from him, however, after looking on these various websites I found the Amsler Grid test and the affected eye does have the wavy lines as described. Any thoughts ?

- Yes, I've seen the specialist 2 days ago and it's confirmed...WMD. He said there is no alternative than to have this surgery. He also said the words, macula pucker. It has actually gotten worse from Sept. to Nov. So, I'm scheduled for surgery Jan.6th. Has anyone had this surgery and how did they cope with the required "face down" position to allow the bubble to say in place? I am concerned about that and the pain. I can rent special equipment to help with the "face down" stipulation but still .....
