• Diagnosed with MD in my 40's..any others like me out there?

• Hello...I have recently been diagnosed with dry MD...I am 42, and the MD is not hereditary...most things I'm finding on this disease are related to people who develop it in their 60's and 70's...I don't fit the mold and would like to touch base with some others that are, or have been, in the "same boat"

• I also have it. Was told I hold it at age 33. Have you herd of ant treatments?

• hey Scott...I forgot to ask in an earlier reply, but how old are you now? you said you had MD since 33, but I didn't know how long you've had it now...are you showing any signs of vision problems yet? and what has the progression been like?

• hey Scott...I will try to contact you this weekend...my cell phone plan gives me free long distance, but my minutes are limited during the week...after 9 at night during the week and all day on Saturday and Sunday are best for me to call, so I figure that Saturday or Sunday would be best to reach you

• Hello Scott... There is a doctor in Columbus, Ohio that is excellent at Diagnosing and treating AMD. His name is Dr. Samuel at The Retina Group. I believe he has a website too eyescience dot com. hope that helps.

• Yes I'm your age and in the same boat. I was diagnosed 2 years ago after I developed a scotoma in my left eye. A few month ago I noticed some grey spots in my right eye. It's depressing.
