  • Hi
I am a new member, my name is Karen. My Father who turns 75 years young today has macular degeneration in one eye. He is doing fairly well, can still drive during the day, but is losing sight quickly in that eye. I have a question that I hope you all can help me with, I am leaving shortly here to go shopping to buy him a gift, he reads about 5-6 books every two weeks and needs better lighting, I have seen/read that the "full spectrum" lighting is very good for people with vision problems has anyone used this lamp and what are your comments....good idea or bad idea??

    Have a blessed day!

  • We have 2 of them and they are really good! The first was for my hubby who had cataracts--now removed, and the second was for me after I was diagnosed with cataracts and MD last year. I immediately went on all the vitamins and minerals my Dr recommended and used this light to knit, crochet and read. This year, when I went back for a check-up the Dr said I didn't have MD! She says I must have misunderstood her--fat chance!! Anyhow-I still use the lamp and love it!
