- ECHO is nothing more than echothiophate, which is a very old drug used to treat glaucoma. Dr. Nolan is using htis as an "off label" approach. The drug is not manufactured which is why it is so expensive.

- Thanks, Darran. Do you know of anyone who has been treated by Dr Nolan for dry macular?

- No, but to be honest, I would question the validity of Dr. Nolan. He uses ECHO as if it is a "miracle drug" to treat all retinal diseases. I do know people who have attempted it with RP and other retinal disease but no success. I've been told it's not worth it.
As for AMD, I'd keep an eye out on the board here. My ophthalmologist is heavily involved with AMD studies and is a Scientific Advisory Board member. Knows his stuff.
