Becoming a Volunteeer

Volunteering for FFB gives you the opportunity to make a difference. You are able to take action and bring awareness to our cause. This gives you the chance to educate the community about the entire spectrum of retinal degenerations and get family and friends working together to help find a cure.

Presidential Service Award

The Presidential Service Award was created to thank and honor those who dedicate time, effort, and energy to helping out in their communities and organizations to make a difference. This award recognizes individuals, families, and groups that have volunteered 50 – 1,000 hours (depending on the volunteer’s age) in a twelve month period or 4,000 over the course of a lifetime.

National Volunteer Week

National Volunteer Week 2008 was April 27 – May 3. That week was about working together as a community and a nation to contribute and make a difference. Another goal of National Volunteer Week is to thank the volunteers.
